Starting next week, sex offenders who live or work on the Fort Hall Reservation in Idaho will have to register with the
Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.
The tribe developed its sex offender registration system under provisions of the
Sex
Offender Registration and Notification Act, which is part of the
Adam
Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.
The system will be available online and to the public.
Tribes are ahead of states in developing their systems.
