California tribal group wants state to go 'all in' for Internet gaming

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

The California Online Poker Association, a group of 21 tribes and non-Indian card clubs, has started the All In For California website to promote Internet gaming.

COPA is supporting a bill to legalize Internet poker. SB 40 would require operators -- the tribes and the clubs -- to pay a fee to the state, estimated at $1 billion over the next decade.

The California Tribal Business Alliance, a smaller group of tribes, opposes the bill.
