Bay Mills Indian Community opens off-reservation casino after all

The Bay Mills Indian Community has opened an off-reservation casino in Vanderbilt, Michigan.

The tribe recently purchased 45 acres near a major interstate. Chairman Jeff Parker said the land would be used for hunting but a casino opened today, 9&10 Newsroom report.

It's not clear if the land has been placed in trust or if it's eligible for gaming.
